MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MELALUI EFEKTIVITAS MEDIA GAMBAR PERISTIWA DALAM MENULIS PUISI KELAS X IPS 1 SMA NEGERI 18 BONE KECAMATAN CINA: EFEKTIVITAS MEDIA GAMBAR PERISTIWA

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the differences in the ability to write poetry between learning to write poetry using picture media of events and learning to write poetry that does not use media of event pictures in class X IPS 1 students of SMA Negeri 18 Bone, Chinese District, Bone Regency. This study also aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of event image media in improving the ability to write poetry in elas X IPS 1 students of SMA Negeri 18 Bone.

This research is an experimental research with a pretest design. The variables in this study were the use of the event image media and the students' ability to write poetry. The population in this study were students of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 18 Bone. The research sample was class X. The data collection technique used a poetry writing test. The validity of the instrument used was content validity with expert judgment. The reliability test was performed using the alphacronbach coefficient formula. The calculation results show the reliability value of 0.880 which is greater than the coefficient of 0.6. The data analysis technique was performed using the t-test technique with due regard to the requirements of normality and homogeneity.

The results showed that there was a significant difference in the posttest scores of students in the control group and the experimental group in writing poetry. In the control group there were 5 students who got low scores, 26 students got moderate scores, and 1 student got high scores. In the experimental group there were no students who got low scores, 18 students got moderate scores, and 14 students got high scores. This shows that there is a significant difference in the ability to write poetry between the control group and the experimental group. The t-test results of the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental group resulted in a t-count of 7.965 with a t-table of 2.042 at a significance level of 5%. This shows that the media of event pictures is effectively used in learning to write poetry because the tcount <-t-table (-7,965 <-2,042). Based on these results, the media of event pictures is effectively used in learning to write poetry in class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 18 Bone, Cina District, Bone Regency.
