Abstrak

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve learning achievement through scheduled consultations on counseling interest to alleviate problems experienced by students of class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 13 Bone, Tanete Riattang Barat District, Bone Regency.


Based on the actions in the first cycle, it has not given significant results because the teacher as the counselor in the attending aspect and in the Elective aspect still has a stiff, gloomy and angry expression because the counselor often looks away, especially when the client is talking. So the data on the assessment score in the first cycle is 40.00 the predicate of the score is not good in the counselor handling student learning problems. Attending cycle II, the counselor's facial expression is rather calm, and cheerful, the counselor has made eye contact with the client, nodded his head in agreement, shook his head as a sign of agreement but was still stiff, because the counselor's head position was upright and the counselor's body inclination was not meaningful as needed (counselor can rub the client's head as a sign of caring affection) listening patience needs to be maintained, and the counselor's voice rising to be avoided if the client is silent/client responds to the teacher's/counselor's questions, the results of the assessment score in cycle II = 50.00.


Then the results in cycle III through optimizing the approach of clients in a calm, friendly, patient, cheerful, friendly, attentive, and affectionate manner; make the client feel comfortable, safe, calm, touched and close; so that in the third cycle the observations show progress; namely 88.33 predicate very good. Based on the Observation Data on Student Personality Development in Cycles I, II, and III, the results showed an increasing development in the next cycle, namely: 30.80; 41.66 then in the third cycle it increased again to 61.66 and the average personality of the students was 44.72; this means that the handling of counseling guidance using the Eclectic Attending Approach shows the success of classroom action research.
